Sunny bay ... of well-being

In distant 1512, an angelic vision of the Virgin Mary appeared to two guardians of Strunjan’s vineyards at the door of the old and ruined church above Moonlight Bay. In the same year, the city council of Piran decided to restore and rename the church, and Strunjan’s Church of Mary’s Apparition soon became one of the most important pilgrimage churches in Istria. Today, many visit this site to restore their life energy since the cross that stands above Moonlight Bay not far from the church marks an intersection of the “Dragon Road,” one of the earth’s bioenergy local points.

Talasso Strunjan is distinguished by its outstanding location just beside the sea at the heart of a landscape park famous for its steep high flysch cliff, abundant Mediterranean vegetation, and millennium-old salt pans that offer sanctuary for birds and where salt is still produced today using ancient traditional methods.
Talasso Strunjan is a thalassotherapy center in the best sense of the word since in addition to its setting amid unspoiled nature it offers a beneficent climate, heated sea water pools, and the application of sea mud and sea salt in its beauty and health treatments.
In Strunjan you can feel the endless azure of blue sea and peace. Sun, sea, rest, pleasure, seafood delicacies, strolls through picturesque Istrian villages – Strunjan invites to its shelter …

One of Talaso Strunjan’s four accommodation options, the Hotel Laguna, is soon to be renovated. The precise details of what innovations the Hotel Laguna will offer guests after the renovations are still a secret, but lovers of typical small Mediterranean hotels who seek peace and a break from the stress of everyday life will certainly enjoy their visit.
