The beginnings of the Lendava Thermal Spa reach back to 1965 when oil explorations near the village of Petišovci chanced upon a source of unique paraffin-rich thermo-mineral water. The local people were quick to discover its beneficial effects and swore by the healing power of the miraculous green paraffin water. The idea of establishing a spa in Lendava was born.
Throughout its entire development, the Lendava Thermal Spa has focused on being in harmony with nature and the many natural and cultural features of the region. Beside the oxbows along the Mura River we encounter storks, and the sight of protected typical flora and fauna brings peace to eye and soul. The renowned hospitality and friendliness of the local people is impressed deeply in the memories of guests.

The Lendava Thermal Spa is located in eastern Slovenia, close to the borders of Hungary and Croatia. Our guests often remark that the offer of this spa differs greatly from the offer of others in Slovenia. The most important factor is our unique thermo-mineral paraffin water. Other, equally important elements include the small size of the spa with its entire offer under one roof or around a single courtyard, friendly people, wonderful unspoiled nature, a wide range of recreation possibilities, and the typical cuisine of three countries. Here, just a stone’s throw from the Hungarian and Croatian borders, the Pannonian plains flow picturesquely into the winegrowing hills of Lendavske Gorice.
