The Topolšica Thermal Spa lies below the high peaks of the Karavanke Mountains, surrounded by green forest only ten kilometers from Velenje.
The beneficial effects of its hot springs have been recognized since the 16th century and the springs were open to the public in 1838, but a true thermal spa was only established six decades later when the first accommodations were built for seasonal guests. Since then the spa has developed into a modern recreation, spa, and catering complex with the highest quality hotel offer.
